Hello there! The name is Jennyanne and I’m a Freelance Artist, Creative Facilitator, Project Manager and a Director at Cocreate Arts & Health CIC.
I hold a Master of Arts by Research from the Manchester Institute of Research and Innovation in Art and Design, A PGCE from the University of Huddersfield and a First Class degree in Contemporary Art from the University of Leeds.
Pre Covid-19 I worked regularly in schools, universities, galleries and community settings creating and delivering workshops and projects with a myriad of themes and outcomes: sculpture, print, painting, drawing etcetera. I have also painted murals for several years too – oftentimes using the drawings that children have created in prior workshops and sometimes the children help me paint them too! Have a look at the commissions page for some further images – or have a look further down on my instagram page.
When Covid-19 hit – I lost all of my public facing work and decided to do what I’d always wanted to do – Paint instead of sculpt. So – I decided to learn! The Covid Arts Council grant helped me to buy materials and I’m slowly building up my portfolio of abstracts and learning as I paint.
I have upwards of 10 years experience facilitating learning through Art and creativity. I have trained artists new to participation, created curriculums for schools, delivered CPD for educators and managed creative and artistic projects including arts festivals and Life coaching courses.
I also have lots of experience working with hard to reach families, young people in alternative educational provision and for those using art as a means of catharsis. I have a special interest in passionately advocating that art is for everyone, regardless of age, talent or any other matter! I’m doing my best to live a wellness lifestyle and in this I can vouch for just how much personal growth you can achieve through engaging with creativity.

What People Say
Jennyanne is an absolute pleasure to work with.
She is a skilled practitioner, adept at working in many different environments, with people of all ages, from all walks of life.
Her knowledge of different artistic process and techniques means she can facilitate a huge range of sessions, which link to different areas of the curriculum and include critical thinking, stimulating discussion and practical activity. Children are encouraged to develop new vocabulary, thinking processes and skills through fun and well-paced activities that include
independent and collaborative working.
Jennyanne encourages children to think for themselves, try new things and not be afraid of making mistakes, which is crucial to the creative process of making art. Her enthusiasm and passion for art is highly infectious, and she has shifted children’s mindsets of being afraid of art, to something they
love to do and but has inspired them to continue making and even wanting to pursue art as a career in later life.
Jennyanne has an easy rapport with children and maintains excellent engagement with the group, whilst having a good laugh and lots of fun. She helps children to understand that process is as important as the
outcome, whilst enabling them to produce impressive finished outcomes that they take great pride in.
I would highly recommend Jennyanne’s services to schools – you will not be disappointed!

Jennyanne was our tutor on the Hepworth Art Gallery sculpture course, and I loved every minute of it!
She has a great range of skills, lots of patience, and was very supportive to the whole group in helping them achieving their individual aims.
I would recommend Jennyanne as a tutor…Nichola Redmore – Participant on an Adult Sculpture weekend course at The Hepworth Wakefield
Saw Jennyanne in action on my teacher training placement and was inspired by the way that she enthused the children and created a love of art and creativityRachel Scaife, PGCE placement at Burnley Brow Community School where Jennyanne was artist in Residence for 4 years.
Jennyanne brought a wealth of artistic experience to our school and has a lovely
manner with children.
She worked with us for a number of years and lead art with children, family groups
and classes and is skilled at facilitating art sessions which teach skills whilst
encouraging independent creativity.
Jennyanne encouraged our children to be confident to enter competitions, she added
children’s work to books which we could use in school and allowed children to plan,
experiment and reflect on finished outcomes.
Jennyanne is an asset to schools and quickly becomes part of the team.
